About The House of Chicken & Waffles

The House of Chicken & Waffles was built for people who know the difference between food that fills you up and food that stays with you. Based in Olneyville, Providence, Rhode Island, we specialize in homemade waffles made fresh in house, buttermilk marinated chicken, and original flavors you cannot replicate anywhere else.

We are not chasing trends. We are rooted in comfort food culture and raised on doing the basics right.

Our Approach

Every waffle starts from scratch. No shortcuts. No frozen bases. From the OG Original to Nana Rhody's Sweet Potato, R.I. Red Velvet, Cast Iron Corn Bread, and the rest of the house classics, our waffles are made fresh in house using original recipes designed to hold flavor, texture, and heat.

Our chicken is marinated in buttermilk, seasoned with a house spice blend, and cooked to hit crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It is built to stand on its own and elevate the waffle it sits on.

The finish matters. That is why we create house blended butters, syrups, and honeys that balance sweet, spicy, savory, and herbal notes without overpowering the plate.

Who We Serve

We serve locals who care about flavor, consistency, and value. Late night eaters. Families. Creatives. Hustlers. People who know good food when they taste it.

If you are looking for fast food, this is not it.
If you are looking for comfort food done with intention, you are in the right place.
